The root of my soul

My first day in Uppsala, Sweden and I already hit ”Stan” where most shops and restaurants are at.  I haven’t been back to my roots in a while so this was a big day for me.

First thing I noticed when we parked our car was these really big lights on this casual car. no offense but, what’s with the dramatic appearance?

You will find this sign on every elevator in every apartment building. Yes, the elevators are that small and yes you will get your head cut off if you take a trash can in with you. :/

Here I am walking around my old place looking for all the things that used to exist in my neighborhood. There used to be a kiosk here called “ICA”. Where the heck is it? and where do the local kids buy their candy from now?

I grew up playing on these toy swings. They are called “Gunga” in Swedish. Over 10 years ago when I was there, this same gunga was here. I honestly can’t bealive that they STILL haven’t bothered replacing it with a new one or at least touching up on the color.

THE CLASSIC GUNGA!

My old house was on the left of this rock I am sitting on. Me and this Rock go way back, I have grown up playing on this rock. Spent a lot of summer days eating dry worms  off of this rock. disgusting, but true. that’s why I have long legs.

Walking around Gottsunda, you can find cherry trees all around.

It’s nice to have access to free fruit

Anybody that knows Gottsunda, knows these 5 Chicks! LOL
